Surfing Costco's site and came across this:

Just thought I'd share.

that's cool, I've wanted to fab a plywood version for the back of my 2000 4Runner and still be able to sleep on top. I wonder how durable those are?

sswearin: use the advanced search feature. type in "cargo box" and then type in "skyrat" in the "search by user" field.

if there were no noobs like us what would you have to bitch about?

I have found many things using the search, don't chastise me, just trying to be friendly. Sorry, but it probably took you longer to post your rant than it too lee to post a link.

If you go back a page, you find this one. It lists 3 different sizes and the option to buy one in tan, btw the one that fits our trucks is $180 before shipping, if you add up wood+hardware+supplies+carpet your getting close to the costs associated with making your own, I would say this is a pretty good deal honestly. Best part in my mind is that it's plastic and waterproof, try spilling something inside a wood cargo box. It def will not clean up the same.

Pfft...I wished mine weighed that little. 65 lbs is nothing. When I built mine, I weighed all the parts - 200 lbs!!! It's a good 20 lbs heavier now with the sub and enclosure.

Not too bad in looking.
If you have little money, you can have one.
Or, go and pick up some cardboard box from Costco as I saw many people do.
No one would see what you have from outside.

man, the more and more i look at this, the more value i see in it. i did a quick google and froogle search on this costco cargo box and definitely costco is the cheapest. i know several members have made their own, but this is such a cost effective and time saving way to have a great little cargo box.

here's the mfg's website: http://suvcargocaddy.com/

this is a great solution for those of you who hunt and/or target shoot. here in the third reich...i mean california, you have to have your guns locked up. technically (as I understand the laws here to be...which no one, not even the cops for the most part), the back of our 4runners are not considered a lockable trunk and thus if you carry multiple guns, you better have locking cases (which can be expensive).
