The research continues on the lift options. I do mostly on road, and rural dirt roads and would like a good ride. Some people have said the comfort shocks are too soft. I don't exactly know what that means. I can't imagine they are softer than stock. I want to run 286/75-16s, and have a level look (881, and 890 coils)

I'm pretty set on the coil choice, and so any opinions on shocks would, as always, be helpful. Sorry if this has been done to death. I really respect your opinions

I would go with the N91S and the N86 and forget the comfort shocks. I also think that the 890s are the best bet for those who want a level look who aren't going to put spacers or 882s up front. I can't imagine 891s in the rear without something comparable up front as 881s are too short and 882s are just right, with a winch and ARB, or there is the SAWs possibility, but those things are just too darn expensive, twice the price of the front OME shocks and coils.

I didn't vote, because I have 881w/ comforts in the front and 891 w/ N86 in the rear. The ride was excellent before the front sagged, then I added a 1" CB spacer. The front is kinda stiff now but the shocks still work fine. Just recently, my 891 rears have started to sag and the ride quality isn't quite as good as before.

How long have you had that setup? I was planning on a 1" CB in the front as well if/when my 881's droop.

The fronts I actually bought used already assembled with the CB spacer. I took it out since I don't have a aftermarket bumper and the guy I gbought them from did. They didn't have that many miles on them when I got 'em...The rears I got new, and I put everything on about 7-8 months ago. I think I am going to remove the CB formt he pack and put in some top-out spacers. Not sure what to do on the rear, can't seem to get an answer from OME/ARB...

I am surprised to hear about the sagging in the rear.
It is usually just the fronts that sag.....do you tow alot?
Can you show us some pics?

Sorry, no pics. I was surprised, too. I guess I've only lost about 1/2" or so of lift, but how I noticed was that the top three turns of the coil are completely touching. They weren't like that a couple of months ago. Yes, I tow some. I have a 5'x 10' single-axle utility trailer I use at most a couple of times a month. Oh, well, I should quit and keep mgspann's thread on topic...

I like the N86 shocks. No more bottoming out. It corners stable.

My setup is a bit different tho.... Donahoe extended/total chaos up front- 891s rear
