Coilover Questions

Okay so I am going to be relifting my front because im not liking the rake I got when I added the spacer front lift. I am looking at the Toytec coilovers or Sway-A-way both seem about the same except for price. So Which one would work better with my relifting the front? My current setup is the Toytec 3" kit its 891's rear and 2.5" w/ topout front. Im running 285/75/16 nitto mud grapplers. The entire truck from the back looks like it is leaning towards the drivers side. The drivers side height from center of hub to fender is front: 21.5" Rear: 23.5". Then the Passenger is front: 22" Rear: 24". So thinking with one of these coilovers should help fix all this to where it might all be 24"s.Also if there is any other routes that will work the advice is welcome. Also might need to mention that im adding ARB and 2" body by June so this needs to be fixed soon.
Thanks for the help in Advanced
Wil

I'd go with SAWS simply for the fact they are rebuild-able and can be valved exactly how you want them.

Make the short trip to Tuscaloosa and I can fix you up. I'm a Toytec dealer and I can help you get that 3rd gen straightened out and riding/looking right.

Your in the plans to come see wab fab. Ive got alot of work I would like done from you my truck is headed toward looking similar to Chris Hallmarks(kreggs). If any chance you can you send me a PM with the price on the Toytec coilovers. Im leaning toward the SAW because of them being rebuildable but not final one anything.

You should talk to Chris and ask him about his setup.
I think he is coming down this weekend to help with bobbing the bed on my Tacoma. Come with him.

The ToyTec COs are built on Bilstein shocks. They are not serviceable like the SAWs. That is not a bad thing because they should last 100,000 miles and also carry a lifetime warranty. There are two different types of ToyTec COs, Fully built units and ones that you assemble using your top plates (which cost less). The ToyTecs usually come with 600# springs but I know someone that has 550# coils. He has an Armorology front bumper and says that they are soft but flex well when rock crawling. His rig is primarily a trail rig, that he has no problem driving 6 hours to trails if needed. He also said that the 550#ers are probably too soft for a DD.

I'm liking my ToyTec COs. Mine are a little different. They are not built on 5100s.

I can't be the best judge of the ride of the TT COs because I'm not running the 5100s. Mine ride great. I'm running 2450s.

The nice thing about the SAWs is that you, if you have the skills and tools, can rebuild and re-valve to get the ride you want/need for a particular terrain. I'm sure the SAWs are better for high speed desert racing, once you find the best valving.
