Yea baby... This tank rocks for 18 gauge air brad nail guns!! I can not wait to use it this weekend wheeling, I have used it more in my garage than for tires..
"course, I have a line on a 8hp 120 gal air compressor for $200 I am going to buy.. Install it in my cellar and plumb it up to my garage for a nice quiet work area..

Mine is a 10 lb Power Tank.

It will fill about 35 to 40 31" tires from 15 lb back up to 35 lb again.
It will also fill it from 15 to 35 in seconds, not minutes like an electric pump.

While I don't dispute this at all. How long until you have to sink more money into it? It isn't gonna stay full forever. I have <$150 invested in dual OBA setups (one electric, one York) and there is no need to invest more. Personally I hate anything that comes with a "subscription" ie, the addition of more money down the line to keep it functioning. To each his own I guess.

It only costs me $16 to fill the tank.
I have owned the Power Tank since around 1999 or 2000, and I have only had to fill it once, and that was less than a half year ago.

For the occasional off roader like myself it's great.
But if I was wheelin' every weekend or a lot more often, then a dedicated continuous cycle 12v unit would probably be a lot more economical.

There are a few that are really nice that can stand up to being used to fill several tires without burning out, hence the 100% continuous cycle ones.
I think the Extreme Air is one of them.

I have three of the Cadillac compressors. While slow, they have proven to be quite durable. Just used them yesterday to fill three of four tires (38.5's) from 0 to 30 lbs. No problems at all.

I have indeed found that CO2 has a multitude of functions, but the PT is a finite source obviously. That is not of much concern for me since I have an ARB compressor if I am less than diligent about keeping the tank full.

Regarding other compressor options, I hardly had room for my fusebox and ARB compressor under the hood let alone a large compressor.

For speed and versatility, it is hard to beat the PT in my eyes, but more space or more cash sure makes an Extreme Air look good.

FWIW, I wasn't able to fit a York under the hood either. Mine resides under the bed. Unfortunately, this isn't a likely option for a stock drivetrain (at least not a US one).
