Clutch problem right after an accidental stall 2003 Taco 4x4
Saturday I made a hard U turn and stalled the motor for the first time in years. I restarted and continued for about a block when I noticed no pressure on the clutch pedal and it was almost to the floor. I restarted several times hoping it would resolve itself, but we were stuck and I couldn't get it into gear.
Towed to my mechanic and he noticed the clutch pedal was to the floor. He pumped it a few times and it started working again. Fluids were full. He sent me on my way.
Has anyone heard of temporary clutch problems right after stalling? The truck has pretty low miles 70k for a 2003 and this is the first time it's broke down. Just want to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Never heard of that before. Seems odd. After 10 years, your clutch master or slave may be wearing out and the problem just so happened to surface after you stalled it.
When was the last time the clutch fluid was flushed?

Probably has more to do with the sharp U-turn than the stall. That being said, I'm at a loss as to what happened. The mechanic didn't bleed it?
Is the clutch pedal returning all the way when your foot is off it?

The pedal now returns all the way back just like new.
I don't think he bled it. The mechanic was closing for the day and I was happy to get on my way. He's got several days off with the holidays, so I'll probably do a follow up visit when they're over.

You might be due for a slave/ master swap if the fluid flush doesn't permanently solve your issue.
Good luck and report back.
