Clutch Pedal & Body Lift
I've noticed since I put on my 1" RB body lift that the clutch pedal groans and sometimes I feel something coming through it as if someone was flicking the bottom of my shoe with their finger. I know bad description but the best I can come up with. Has anyone else noticed this?
I imagine the spring on the clutch pedal is a little more stretched out now? Or is that not effected at all by a body lift? It's not something I considered when doing the lift as I didn't read anythign about the possibility in articles or the instructions.
It might be that it was groaning and moaning about it previously and I didn't kow it but with the body lift it's more prominent.
Thanks.

Uh oh. You have a totally unrelated problem to the body lift. You have the infamous "worn out clutch pedal rod shim problem." I solved this problem by removing the rod that goes through the pivot point and adding shims on the end of the shaft. Actually, I added washers, then put the C-clip back on. I bet Bob has some pics...

See that key-clip that goes through the end of that gold shaft?
You need to add some washers to that puppy.
Stole the pic from Unhappy99's thread...

Thanks for the info. When I say "coming through it" I mean it is like click or something that I can feel in my foot when releasing the clutch. This still the same problem? I'm still under warranty so I wonder if the dealership will bother to look at it if I mention it?
Is this the same problem being discussed in FIXED!! Stupid PLASTIC clutch pedal bushing ?

Yes, have them fix it. I had the EXACT same problem. It drove me nuts.
Dont screw with it if you are under warranty! I could duplicate it by pushing in the clutch with my hand too.

Last Saturday I took my truck in for regualr service and had them fix this. The bill out the door was like 350+ for this, all labor basically. I asked the service guy I was working with if it was covered under my Extra Care warranty. He said he wasn't sure and since it was 5:30PM or so that the warranty office was closed so he couldn't find out. He said call him back on Monday morning and he'd look into it. I ended up paying for the work that day.
I called him back Monday and asked him to see if it was covered and he called me back and said that it was. I guess I'm getting a check in the mail from Toyota for that portion of my bill. Extra Care comes through again for me! I'm glad I got it.
I guess I'm good for another 70k miles on that.
