Chriso's 98 4runner build-up thread
Slowly but surely I am starting to do small things to my 4 runner to get it where I want it.
OME 882's and OME shocks will be going up front, Along with a addicted offroad bumper or one of my own flavor (have not decided yet).
LC coils will be going in the rear. (The suspension will be getting done hopefully by next month.
For now it's had a few dates with a sawzal and a hammer to fit 255/85/r16's and surprisingly it only rubs on full stuff and not THAT bad.
This started as a stock 98 it's my hunting/camping/DD rig.
Here it is with new cragar soft 8's (took some grinding of the calipers, thanks for the help wabfab and others). Also put on my TG sliders today and will be spraying them tomorrow morning. Didn't use such a steep angle since I like how it looks like this and I also wanted retain some qualities of a step (for the lady) It's a very slight angle.
I will also be doing a cargo box very soon.
I also plan on adding lockers and gears after the lift (when funds permit) .

Oh and the front bashed in bumper is from hitting a big rock this deer season. Thanks for looking and I plan on updating this thread periodically like I said, When funds permit!

Yeah I got them and they sat around for awhile but I figured hey why not try em. It took me a couple hours with a sawzal and a hammer and they really only rub on full stuff and it's not that bad. Either way I can't wait to get that suspension on.

Howdy guys, I took a bit of a hiatus form working on my truck. I have been extremely busy but I finally got some time to really start working on it. So far this is what I have done.
Addicted offroad bumper with blinkers and light tabs, waiting on my rear bumper... also from addicted offroad.
Smittybuilt XRC8 with synthetic line.
fresh set of KM2's.
Still the same trail gear sliders in the old pic.
OME 882 coils up front with OME shocks (cant remember the model number but the equivalent of the old soft rides basically)
LC 7.5 wraps in the rear with procomp shocks for a 02 4runner (they didn't have the billies in stock when I went to order :/ but these are riding surprisingly good)
Front diff drop.
99+ clear lenses with PIIA lights!!!
This thing flexes like a mofo now. The only issue I have ran into, is the CV boots tore with the lift (they were old and dry). I rebooted the CV's and installed a diff drop, also with the LC coils my drive line was hitting the gas tank skit so I grinded out a notch where it was rubbing. I later discovered at full stuff the yoke is hitting the rear of the gas tank skid, which I will address soon. While I was doing all this I serviced the tranny, changed the oil, along with the spark plugs, and added some diff/gear oil. I'm at 214k on this baby and I'm just as in love with her as I was the day I brought her home when I was 16!!! I plan on adding a cargo box and POSSIBLY a roof rack.
A pic I took while I was out deer hunting the other day, finally getting it out and dirty.
Some more.

I really like what you're doing. Looks great.
Kind of a 'sleeper' build (very capable, but stock looking, good DD).
Sorta of what I'm doing.
Does that front bumper kinda get in the way, when you are working under the hood ?
