Changing 2.7L fuel filter
Any tips for doing this, just ordered one from 1stToyotaParts, i heard the 4 cyl filter is in a ty spot and has 2 banjo fittings that can be tricky. Anybody done this and have any tips on how to reach it best under the intake mani?

I just changed mine last week but i did it with the manifold off. It was good that i took it off because i was able to clean the mani out which it needed real bad. I tried to do it from below and gave up.
Having tried both ways, my suggestion is to get a 6pack and just take a night to pop off the manifold so you have a clear shot at the filter.

hmm maybe a 12 pack... What involved in getting the manifold off, won't i need to get some gaskets, also i dont have a torque wrench to get the specs right when putting it back on. I do want to get in there and clean my intake mani but i really dont have the time to do it all. i gotta get my TJ coils on the rear and replace wires and fuel filter pretty much in 1 day

I looked at doing that and no way I was going to reach from under or around and the time require to get it change is a lot and never had the patience to get around to do that. I would get some gaskets and find some time next weekend to do it.

Thats when you hook everything back up and cant figure out why you have a bag of extra screws
You will need 3 gaskets, the throttle body gasket, the gasket that connects it to the block, and the one in between the two halfs of the intake manifold.
