Cat-Back Systems

I am thinking about getting a cat-back system. Do you recomend it? Is it worth it? I am probably going to get a Magnaflow (part #15811).

Let me know what you guys think....

That's the 14 inch muffler so it's gonna be loud....if that's what you're looking for then go for it.

I just put on a JBA exhaust that URD had on sale for $200. Fairly quiet but produces a cool sounding tone that I can live with. Not annoying at all.

not true. and are you paying for a kit. all pre bent, etc?

why not just pick up a muffler and have your local shop weld it all up?

I prefer to get the full cat-back system and keep the stock system intact. For re-sale purposes.

Have the 18 on my tacoma. Had a shop weld up the rest of it. Little more open for my intake and sounds good too. Not like I am grindin coffee beans.

I have the same JBA from Gadget. These are nice and took about 30 min to install.

Are you running the headers as well...or stock manifolds? I just got off the phone placing an order with them and they talked me out of headers altogether.

I just put the JBA exhaust on my '99 and really like it - fits perfectly and has a nice tone to it - very quiet at idle but stomp on it and you can really hear it. My price was $327 something. May want to make a decision soon as mine was drop shipped directly from JBA and they supposedly did not have many left on the shelf.
