Can't get my alternator off!

I followed the directons here http://comajoe.lotusnation.net/misc/.../gene/remo.pdf

but the thing wont budge! It'll pivot but thats it! Can someone help? I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere till I can get this thing off and replaced!

the lower mount is usually a tight fit, just keep pulling and wiggling it and it will come out eventually

you took both bolts all the way out right, the pivot bolt and the locking bolt for the adjuster?

i took the top bolt all the way out and the bottom nut off... I loosened the adjuster like it said but did not take it all the way out

does that sound right?

I'm yanking, pulling, wiggling, and everything else and this thing wont budge other than swivel side to side.

wtf!

you have to take the lower bolt all the way out

the one that goes straight in line with the truck or the one that goes horizontally?

Ok, Now I took the whole lower piece off.. the adjuster bolt and all.. the alternator now swivels more but still wont budge other than that.. wtf!

I've replaced mine 3 times now, and every time it's difficult. Spray the top mount with WD-40 or the like, then hit the alt downward with a screwdriver/hammer. It WILL come out, it's just really stuck in there. On the way back in, lube up the top mount really well and shove it in there.
