Can i remove them?

i just bought a 2000 toyota 4Runner 4WD and i want to know if the decals (Toyota, 4Runner, SR5, 4WD) are glued on or drilled in on the 2000. I want to take them off but if it will leave holes in my car the forget it but if they are glued thats easy to take off. thanks

For 96-98 4runners, to remove the old emblems, heat them with a hair dryer then lift them up gently. dental floss will work as well. Clean the residual adhesive with adhesive remover (3M) and rubbing alcohol. The only emblems that would give a problem in replacing with different style emblems would be the "4Runner" and the rear hatch Toyota symbol as both have positioning pegs that go into holes in the body work.

Now, for your 2000 model, and all other 99+ 4runners, the rear 4runner emblem does not have positioning pegs, so no worries.
