Can I get around those SAWS?

Just purchased a TJM 15 for my 97 4WD. I have no plans for a winch, but dont want to install the bumper without upgrading the front suspension. Most of my traveling is on road, with an occasional ride into the dirt. Can I get a comfortable ride, still support the weight of the bumper without the sag, and not get hammered with the price of the SAWS? I know the SAWS are the best overall, but the price is up there... What can you guys recommend to get the best of both worlds?
