Caddy rims?

I want to put on 17'' stock escalade rims on the runner. The lug pattern is the same 6x5.5. The only problem is the center of the wheel is too small. Would a 1'' spacer work? (Inside the lugs where the axel meets the wheel....if that makes sense)

The best solution would be to bring it to a machine shop and have the bore out the middle of the rim to fit your hubs.

I would love to see pictures of that if you can get it to work!

i've seen a 94' 4Runner with caddy rims. i dont know what he did to fit them, but i would agree with GReedy, get a shop to machine the rims to fit your hubs.

Thanks for the input....always appreciated.

I am having second thoughts on this idea. My boss is selling me the rims and tires (depending if i can get this to work). The Rims are still in the box and the tires are highway goodyears with about 1/2 tread life on them for $600.
Now if i get them machined (Co$t????) is it even worth it? Should i just buy new tires for $700 on my stock rims? I am leaning torwards that idea, but i like the "never seen that" look.

i dont know, it was posted on here and i saved the pic. he's not a member as far as i know. As for the wheels/tires from your boss. it's up to you weither or not you like the look of the wheels. are they authentic caddy wheels? the cost of machining them depends if you know any friends that could do that for you otherwise you might get charged more. but as for the tires, if you want newer tires dont buy the caddy wheels, but if you dont mind changing to highway tires for a while. it all depends on what look you want on your 4Runner. either way you go, good luck.

Right from GM. Im waiting on a couple of qoutes. Depending on that and my ($$$$$) situation I might just get new rubber. New tires seem to be the best bet. I need to get the 265/70/15 off asap!

Funny thing is the caddy rims and the rims off some SUVs/GM trucks are the same besides the caps.

Well they certainly are shiny. Is there a way to get a center cap that doesn't have the Cady emblem? That just kills it for me. Otherwise its not too bad, especially if the price was right.

I put them up against the runner and it didnt look that bad with the center caps off. Maybe some M/T would make them look a little beefy'r. I have alot of chrome on my whip so the chrome wheels wouldnt look that bad. But like i said before i am shying away for this idea...to each his own. I might offer $500 (for rims and tires) and if he takes it i might run with it.

No totally, I agree. If you like them, thats the best thing. You weren't even asking for an opinion on how they look, sorry. I think they'll be fine if they fit your look...especially if you're stoked with the price!!
