A/C Clutch won't disengage
My 97 Tacoma V6 A/C won't turn off. And no, it's not on defrost. I pulled the plug on top of the unit which has cured it for the time-being, but come summer, I'll want some A/C again. Anybody else have this problem? Could it just be a sticky clutch? Is that an easy fix?
Cheers!

If the clutch dropped out after disconnecting the electrical connector it means for some reason that wire has system voltage to it all the time.
AC switch burned fast in the closed position??
could be the defroster switch as well??
Wires rubbed together but not shorted to ground ??
Do any wiring projects where you might have caused this ??
Time to do some trouble shooting break out the Meter.
