New, don't even kid yourself.

Koyo, A1998. go-part.com or try Ebay first.

Use the original radiator brackets with the new radiator for easiest fit. Get some new hoses and replace the thermostat and ring if you never have before.

New.

You never know what problems a junked radiator could have. Who knows, maybe the salvaged one will last 3 years maybe it will last 3 days. At least with new you have peace of mind.

The stock radiator has the Tranny cooler built in. If you want an external cooler then a new radiator probably isn't as necessary. Most buy a new one without needing it just to protect from the milkshake. If your Atf and coolant are separated with an external cooler then you don't have to worry about that problem.

Rockauto has the stock rad for 102 + 17 shipping.

The VISTA-PRO Part # 431402 is the same one sold at advance auto for 170$ .

some on the forums swear by the koyo which is on ebay for just a few dollars more, but anything will be better then a used one.

I bought a rear bumper on ebay when mine rusted through. Fit wasn't as good as original but should last the life of the truck.

Ive had my eye on a ebay front bumper . Mine has some spots showing up , I know the trucks old but I hate how bad the rust shows on the chrome bumper.

Looks fine now, can't tell its not stock. Chrome looks good. Took a good bit of persuasion to get the corner bumpers to line up with the back bumper.

I got a new Koyo from Rock auto.

Along with the new radiator I replaced the Frame / Inner fender / Core support and upgraded to a 04 Front clip.

too bad most are plastic and aluminum, i scored a v6 radiator that was copper and brass at the yard for 20 bucks and it looks new, i has to re braze the lower pipe back on but if you can find an old copper and brass one in good shape you can usually fix it relatively easily if you spring a leak, the newer plastic ones are junk when they leak

time for a radiator in my tacoma now, leaking slowly out the top on either side, noticed coolant tank was empty after only a couple days of driving.

Thinking NAPA or ebay... if anyone has any favorite brands/places to buy please chime in, otherwise just getting whatever I can that I think is best quality.

and getting new upper/lower hoses while I'm at it, might as well since it's over 15 years old.

ordered one off of ebay and found upper/lower hoses on amazon. $170 should give me another good run of radiator/hoses hopefully.

This is what I found, after measuring the radiator in the truck, this seems to be the best fit, fingers crossed I don't have to higgle and jiggle to get it mounted on the stock mounts!

New radiator today, awwww yeah..... Koyo ordered off of ebay, and measured right, got the right one; wasn't sure as there's like 20 different sizes.... and new radiator hoses top and bottom. Bought the last gallon of Zerex from NAPA in town, lucky I had a couple extra on hand to fill her up. Easy peasy, got her drained, swapped and filled in about an hour.

Friday driving really started to spew coolant faster, the old radiator wouldn't have made it much longer. Lucky it held on through the week for me.

The old one leaking:

Yeah, new and shiny:
