I've been very happy with my OEM bug deflector (Toyota also sells a replacement screw/spacer kit as you will eventually loose one of these small parts over time). You might be able to find a new or gently used one on ebay.

BTW, be careful what you clean these with as they scratch easily.

The only thing i don't like about my window ventshades is when i go to touchfree car washes in the winter. Some soap gets stuck under the rain deflectors. I usually have to roll down my windows a little bit so the soap gets cleared away. Also, when the blow dryers come on, they don't really dry the sides of the runner too well because of the ventshades. This is only in the winter when i can't wash my runner by hand at home. They are awesome in the rain cause i like to drive with my windows cracked a little bit. Thats my 2 cents.

I just bought an AutoVentShade brand bug deflector for $32 at PepBoys and it sits low but stands completely off of the hood with no need for those little bumpstops (it comes with 4 just in case wind or vibration pushes it back) and it conforms to the hood shape nicely also.
I also have their rainguards and love 'em and I just bought a set for my mom's '99 Runner. They are the stick-on type which some people prefer the in-channel designs but no complaints from my 2nd set of the stick on type. I got these also at PepBoys and the 4 piece set cost under $45.

Run a search on weatherflectors, there's even a writeup on how to install them. Basically they are a little more expensive than the stick on ones because they actually fit into your window slot. Most people haven't had any problems with the stick on's, but I think the weatherflectors are more low profile.
