I've had my 1' PP springs on for about a month. Recently my brakes seem to be acting strange.

When the car is at a complete stop in drive with no pressure on the brakes, the vehicle will not roll. After a few seconds it will lunge forward like the brakes were relased. Also at low manuevering speeds the brakes click and randomly lock up.

Can the lift affect this or could it be a fluid problem. Maybe a tranny problem???

did you change the brake hoses when you did the lift
even thought a 1 inch lift should affect the brake hoses.

you may need to adjust the LSPV if it is the rear brakes that are doing this funny stuff

In addition to checking/adjusting the LSPV I would also make sure that all the slides on the front calipers are well lubricated as they may simply be making the problem worse.

see which tire is locking up,lift it on jack stands and spin them,good luck.

I thought that '00 didn't have a LSPV because of the ABS system?

My truck does this as well. It was missing the passenger side ABS sensor, we replaced it, and this is still occuring. Does anyone have a solution?

My 98 Tacoma had a rear axle seal go out. The gear oil leaked in to my rear drum and got onto the brake shoes. Apparently the gear oil absorbs into the brake shoe and causes the brakes to stick.

When I come to a very slow speed and barely have my foot on the brake, it will grab when I am moving slow enough and stop abruptly. I am not too concerned about it since my brake shoes still have plenty of life left.

This may be your problem or it might not. You might want to check to see if your axle seals are going out.

If you have ABS, you don't have an LSPV, period.
Only late model trucks that had them were the stripped down 4 cyl models.

As far as your problem, JBSTRD could be correct. Best thing is to jack the truck up at all 4 points and test that the wheels rotate freely. If you find one that does not or sticks badly, you've found your issue. You need to do some basic troubleshooting before anyone can help you further.

I know for sure it is my front passenger wheel. When I purchased the truck, the inside of the rotor was worn 10x as much as the outside and the abs sensor was missing. We replaced the rotor, calipers, and the abs sensor on that wheel (and the other one too), bled the brakes, and the issue is still present. Is there any troubleshooting I can do for that sensor?

You need to forget about the sensor because that's not your problem.

Check the brake caliper piston to ensure it moves freely (if not, replace the entire caliper). If it does, just replace all the brake hardware (caliper sliders, clips, pad shims, etc). Use high temp brake grease for assembly and your problem should be gone. You should also be changing out the hardware on both sides, not just the one giving you trouble. As bad as those brakes sound, pray you didn't hose up your wheel bearing leaving it like that for so long.

The first thing I did when I bought it was put new brakes in, that was only a month ago. Are you telling me that my brand new brakes are bad already?

Either that or they were installed incorrectly.
I have seen rebuilt calipers be bad so don't assume anything until you check it all out.
