Ok so I got a 95 T100 with a 3.4 246k miles.
Did rear brakes last year and just now did fronts.
Pedal has always been mushy and goes down forever.
Put reman calipers on several new lines and a new-used master cylinder.
I have absolutely no leaks anywhere and have flushed over 2 liters of fluid thru this thing. 90% of the time I get awesome brakes and it will about pitch you thru the windshield. Then just randomly out of nowhere I won't get jack like nothing at all. I haven't been able to bleed the lspv because its all rusted to crap... However it seems to me like if that was the issue I wouldn't just randomly lose all brakes. Before I did fronts I had pedal and no brake warning light. Now I don't have much for pedal and the warning light stays on all the time.

I freaking lost... Usually non abs are simple press lever get brakes. If not you have a leak.

I've done several hours of googling with no success. I'm about ready to the thing.

Have you replaced all the rubber hoses ??

Do you need to add more then the normal amount of brake fluid ??

To allow for pad wear .

You do use the Ebrake to keep the rear brakes adjusted.

Rear brake shoes hanging up some how then freeing themselves . Like the Emergency Brake hanging up at times.

Someplace you either have a caliper or some other blockage( Master Cylinder??) giving the feeling of a firm pedal every once in a while it works like it should hence the pedal goes to the floor.

Here in the Great Brine Belt I have never tried to bleed the LSPV after the first time. On all the Toyota`s I have done brakes on.

Some things to think about.

Had a leak so small I couldn't see it in a rear line. All fixed.


Spoke too soon. Made it about 5 miles and back to no brakes. More line swaps I guess.
