Brake install question

Do the pads with the wear indicators get installed on the inner side or outer side of the rotor? They are Toyota OEM pads.

Does not matter but I put them on the outside for easier viewing.

Don't both pads have wear indicators? One side has one and the other has two. The metal backing plates are slightly different shapes but they will fit either way. I usually put the one with two on the outside.

In my limited experience, they sometimes are on all pads. I bought the perf. friction a bit ago and 3 of the 4 pads had the wear indicators. Last purchase all 4 had the wear indicators.
