Borla exhaust sound clip - '03 V8

I just took some quick sound clips of my new Borla dual exhaust on an '03 V8 4runner. The quality isn't that great since I got the clips off my digital camera, but it's better than nothing. So here they are if anyone is interested...

Sound clip from outside the truck while idling

Inside the cabin while driving around town

And here are a couple shots of my 4runner...

Hello,

Dude, that sounds dope!! I had someone tell me that the borla exhaust was not that great so that is why I did not get it. But, I am going to go kick that guy in the balls!!! Sound awesome!!

Did you get your from the Stealer or did you find a good price on the net? Thanks for the info.

hey uwf,
I got it from http://www.exhaustproslinc.com for $675 + $30 shipping (and no tax). They don't stock this particular model so they ordered it directly from Borla and Borla shipped it directly to my house and it only took 2 days from the day I placed the order. I'd highly recommend buying it from them if you decide to get it. I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else.

Sounds nice! Makes me want to sell my 3rd Gen for a V8 4th Gen.

You think you can make a sound clip running at full throttle?

Did you have the sulfur odor problem before? If so, did it change?

I noticed that the exhaust runs out the side instead of directly out the back. Does this lessen the exhaust entering the cabin when the rear window is down?

bool,
I had a local shop install for me although I probably could have done it myself if I had a garage and some jackstands.

ilocan,
In the beginning of the second clip I'm almost at full throttle so it doesn't get much louder than that. The mic on my digital camera isn't that great so it sounds quieter than it really is. The exhaust is almost at its loudest at around 2k rpm because it starts to slightly drone and resonate (the interior starts to vibrate a little).

pistonslap,
I haven't had the sulfur smell in my runner yet, probably because i'm in CA where the sulfur levels in the gas are pretty low. I haven't tried driving with the back window down yet, but I've heard from others on this board that the side exit exhaust doesn't smell as bad as the stock exhaust with the back window down.

For some reason I can't pull your sound clips, my work has blocked the website..

Your rig looks good with the Tundra/Sequoia wheels on it!

Your runner looks great, but what in the hell is a Nissan SUV doing sitting next to it. Oh well, not like it'll give you any competition. Again, solid work and great sound.
