On Board Air On A Budget!
Hello All, Just thought I would share this. My dad gave me this somewhat quality 12V air compressor the other day so I made it into a little "onboard air" setup. The whole thing got bolted into this little toolbox I had laying around with 4 bolts up through the bottom. Here is some pics.

OBA cont.
I replaced the cigerette lighter plug with battery clips because I hate cig. lighter plugs, how cheesey. Don't worry, there are good connectors under all that tape.

Then, shut the lid. It makes for good keeping and allows you to put the compressor in sand or mud with no worries. Will it puff up your new IROKS? Heck No! But I only ever air down as a recovery tactic so it suits me perfectly and cost me less than a lunch. As always, the best part is, I did it myself.

hey that looks really cool. i do have once concern, however. it may not be a big deal since this is a smaller compressor. but most (all) air compressors i've seen, say to keep a certain amount of volume around the intake open. if you have that down in the box (even with the lid open), there may not be enough volume for the compressor. i don't know if it will damage anything, or if it just won't work at maximum efficiency. but it's worth thinking about.
