Blowing Fuses??
Yesterday I went to turn on my Hella 500's and they wouldnt work. So first thing i did was check my 30 amp inline fuse and sure enough it was blown. Today I went to the store and got several extra fuses...Well once I replaced the blown fuse, i turned the lights on twice...then turned them off, started my car and drove home. When i got home i flipped the switch and they didnt work again...Got out checked the fuse and sure enough it had blown. Do you guys have any suggestions or ideas for why the fuse is blowing out so fast now? I've had them for about 2 months now and never blew a fuse till just yesterday. I dont know if this would affect it, but the past week it rained a TON and im pretty sure my lights got soaked in the proccess, could water affect this?

i dont know about the rain causing them to short, but there cant be much wiring involved in fog lights, so just check all the wiring and see if theres a short.

is the fuse blowing because of a short or a overload? veroladed fuses have the link blown, shorted ones have a broken link and some specs on the glass from it melting. Check the lights to see if there are any seals that could be broken.

If the lights don't blow the fuse with the engine off (like you stated) but the fuse blows if the car is running, it sounds like something else other than your Hella 500's causing the problem. Have you checked to see if the fuse blows BEFORE you turn the lights on but AFTER you start the engine?
Try isolating the Hella 500's and see if the fuse still blows. You may have something else on the circuit.
