Blower motor not turning off...

I recently replaced the blower motor resistor in my 99' 4runner and now the blower motor will not turn off. Prior to replacing the resistor I could not get the blower to work on any setting but high. Now it stays on all the time the ignition is keyed on.

Anyone ever had this problem? When the air system is set to off the air doesn't come out of the vents but you can hear the blower running.

Thanks for any advice...

Judd

Are you sure it is the right part for the truck?
Are you sure it is installed correctly?

MTL, the resistor can only go in one way and the part is the exact same as the one I removed...

In that case you may need to break out the multimeter and check the blower switch.
I didn't think the resistor would be at fault, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
