Arrow My Vote...

I went with silver. Black looks good too, but if you're off-roading a lot, the dirty/muddy black tires don't go well with the super-shiny black wheels. Now if you were showing it and put some of that tire dressing stuff on your tires to match the wheels, I'd vote for the black wheels! I think the aluminum-looking ones accent the big tires better though. I also like how the maunal locking hub has a red spot in the middle -- it seems to match the color of your 4Runner.

Black is back

Silver looks nice, but with all the mods you have, the black wheels kinda scream aftermarket and looks a little more ominous. Plus it goes with all the black stuff you've added. I voted for black.

My worries is that they do seem to make ths 32's look smaller.. And I am not 100% sold on the black either.. They do need to be painted bad though....

Can anyone photochop stock alloys onto my truck, and keep my tires??

Here ya go

Lee, I used Microsoft Picture It!
First time I have ever pasted a cutout onto another picture, and it turned out pretty good
I had to make the cutout a transparent GIF online at www.animationfactory.com
then insert it to your pic.

By the way, that is Ken's wheel from his site from the wheel polishing page.

I tried to size it so it just barely overlapped your black wheel so it would cover it up just right.

Sorry, looks like you are also back to ADD again
I did not take the time to put the Aisin manual hubs back on again.

I voted for black just because I feel black looks better for off-road. Silver is more luxurious to me.

They won't be as gold looking either.
It's just the way they came out from Ken's site.

had me worried w/ that gold look there. I 'd say the black or the alloys, the first set of silver looked kind of plain.

The black clashes with your chrome, if you had the non-sr5 black bumper then the black wheels would match.

I was going to curse you Corey... I thought you had photochoped your ARB onto my truck.. Can ya say envy??
Well, silver is ahead.. I like the alloys, but these steelies are dang strong and easy to fix.. bend=BFG.. scratch=re-paint...

He he, I'd do that Lee, but junior got dropped off by the X tonight, and he is on my PC right now.

But, I did find some pics of Mike H's 2nd gen on Kong's site.
Same color as your rig, and with a black TJM on it.

http://www.kongs4x4.com/1990_4Runner.html

It's his rear bumper that I want fabbed up.
I showed that design to Badland's, and he can make one very similar to it for me.
There are 2 pages here chock full of that design elsewhere.

Hey Lee,

I went w/ the silver. Can't give you a reason why, but silver looks better.

Also, good to see you posting more often here.

i went with silver, it's a better look for your current setup. i love black wheels but think they'd go better with a black or color matched bumper.

Yea.. It kinda seems like 4x4 wire has been kinda taken over by the third gen trucks... I still watch, but I get a feeling alot of the members have shown up here.. (Gee, a year ago there is no way that a post could stay on the front page for a couple of days.. Corey made sure of that single handed)

I'll dissent and vote for black. I think black steel wheels look really good. Leave the silver and polished look to alloy wheels.
