Bilstein or Tokico?
I've done the searches and no answers...I'm running a generally stock 2.7 4x4 Runner but its time I sink a some money into suspension. I like staying pretty much stock as far as lift kits and stuff go, I don't do any major course running. But I would like a good shock to handle some off roading as well as highway driving....any thoughts on Bilstein or Tokico shocks? I know Tokico are generally cheaper but can they match the Bilstein equivalent?
Thanks for the help!

I went with Bilstein HD's and couldn't be happier. They are much better than my old OEM's, which are Tokico's anyway if I am not mistaken. Of course that's not really a fair comparison.
I would describe the Bilsteins as slightly firmer than OEM on the street, and much more stable on washboard-type desert roads.

I think so. Don't be surprised if you get a tad bit of lift out of the deal too. I think I got .25 - .5" after the install. Strange I know.
I shopped around and found the best deal to be on ebay. I think I paid $230 for all 4 shipped.

If you only drive on the streets, I'd go Tokiko as you get the same benefits of improved handling for a cheaper price but probably don't have the durability off-road.
