bilstein shocks question

Hey guys! i'm new here and also in 4whilin. i was reading this forum for a while, and found a lot of useful information here.So a have a couple questions for the pros. i got my 4runner several months ago,and finaly ready to do some upgrades. I was thinking about putting new bilstein shocks, and wondering if it's gonna give any lift??if not, what is the bigest size of tires i can put on?and also wondering if i need to change coils with shocks?

P.S sorry for my english. It's my second language
thank you very much

First of all, welcome to the forum. What is your first language? We also would like to know the type of vehicle you drive year/model.

Shocks alone do not really lift the vehicle. Sometimes they do slightly, but it is hardly noticeable. I replaced my rear shocks with Bilsteins and it lifted the rear about 1/2"

To lift the vehicle, you can go with a body or suspension lift. Please let us know what you plan to do with the vehicle and we can help direct you further.

Later!

I wanted to put 1.5" daystar kit,but my friend,he works at toyota dealership, told me that it's gonna break mu suspension after couple years of driving with this kit. is this true? I don't go of-road too much and usualy use my car as daily ride. i'm going to instal trd headers and trd exhaust sistem in couple of months, and hopefuly can afford sc in the future.

I've got the exact same rig. Look at my website, the link is below at the bottom, specifically the photos page and the write-ups page to see what I've done to mine and that should give you some ideas!
