Bilstein 5100 and ToyTec 3" lift Problems

Ok guys I've been fighting this all day and need a hand. Ive searched but I can't seem to find any threads in regards to issues with this set up so here it goes.

I bout the Toytec 3" front lift coils and paired them with 2000 tundra 5100 Bilsteins. I took them up to Car Quest had them assembled on the second perch (they are the 5 position struts) I have them installed on the truck but I cannot connect the upper ball joint. right not the strut is maxed out on length and when I try to use the jack to push it into place to install the ball joint I only have about a half an inch of travel before it starts lifting the truck.

It feels like something is binding or I ordered wrong parts but everything i read it sounds like I got it right.

HELP!!!!!!!!

No bottle jack but I have use a floor jack on it.

Just read an install thread where they didn't take the upper ball joint off. Any ideas about that? ball joint off or leave it on and install the strut assembly?

yeah, try hooking up the bj first. Then crank shocks down (if possible) and have buddy stand on lower control arm to cheat shock into upper mount. I think that's how I did mine. Sounds like you got it in a bind. Attach it to the upper mount, leave nuts hand tight, and do what I said on lower mount. Might have to use a cheap long flat head screw driver.
Hope that gets you started.

When I spoke to Toytec and ordered that lift they said to make sure the bilsteins were on the lowest setting otherwise they wouldn't fit.

Thanks for the replies guys! I got them installed and everything seems right. When I drive it the front seems bouncy? almost like a rubber ball, typically with bad shocks it kind of floats but this feels like the front is a pogo stick about to bounce off the road. It seems I read something about it taking the springs a few hundred miles to settle in, could this be it? Or have I done something wrong?

Ok to anyone wondering I got it figured out, I installed the spring perch upside down (whoops!) I'll try and attach pictures. First time working with coils is kicking my tail but persistence will pay off!

The perch extends up rather than down the first way I installed it

Here you can see it installed correctly
