Bigger tires=front end problems?

Bigger tires=front end problems?
Ok, so I was having steering issues with my rack and tierods. My mechanic said that it was probably from having larger tires on. I think I have 265/75R16 duelers which is not that much bigger than the OE of 265/70. He said the larger tires stressed out the front end and that led to the issues.
Anyone else having or had these problems?

ive had no issues after putting on bigger wheels and tires. went from oem 265/70/16 on 16X7 to 285/75/16 on 16X8. to my surprise, steering actually felt lighter compared to before. maybe FJ80 alloys are lighter..? dunno...
you shoulnt have any problems with going to a 75 series. its not that much bigger. what kinda issues? how are your boots? and your ends themselves? is it not turning properly or is it just wandering all over the road?

I went from 29" dulops to 33" BFG Muds no problems with steering at all. You should go see another mechanic about your truck after what that dude suggested.

Well I dunno if it was from the tires but I had one worn steering stabilizer and one cracked in half stabilizer. I also had to have the TREs replaced. I need an alignment now really bad. When I get it I will post results.
Thanks guys
