A big 'hoorah' to our servicemen
This was pretty funny I thought
I was on the way to get some food and got stuck at a red light. I look up at my review mirror and 2 huge ass army vehicles were pulling behind me from out this empty lot throwing mud up 20 feet in the air along with a street motorcycle. They pull up next to me and complimented me on my rig and asked if I could go back to the hotel parking lot so they could take a picture. I thought it a bit random but i said what they hay.
I pulled into the parking lot and there were about 10 more of the trucks and a bunch of other types of rigs with a good few servicemen and firefighters hanging around. Turns out these are some of the guys fighting the forest fires down at the Ga/Fl line. We got to talking and they said they were on break and just trying to get their trucks stuck in mud to kill time (turns out the trucks they drive, the ones in the pics, are the ones used to pull firetrucks out haha). I told them I really appreciated what they were doing and promised to share some pics of 'his' rig to the community as a sign of appreciation so I took some pictures of my own with my cell phone. It's not much, but a promise is a promise
