Better seats in 01 Tacoma?
Can anyone suggest better bucket seats for my 01 Tacoma. The ones I have aren't all that bad but I have a screwed up back (Broke it in three places a few years ago) and It seems like I can't drive more than 50 miles and I have to get out and walk around. It seems to be getting worse with age and I was thinking you guy's may know of better seats that will fit right in there. Mike

With the problems that you are describing, I would suggest that you take a long look at Recaros. Although pricey, thay are very well designed, and some are available in modular form, so that you can make them fit you individually.
The only other idea I have is to find seats from something that you know are comfortable to you, then get a salvage yard set, and do some fabbing to make them work in your truck.

Talk to an upholstery shop first?
I also have recurring back issues although certainly not like you are dealing with. I installed a lumbar support pad in my 2000 4Runner that made all the difference in the world. Probably cost $15 for the pad and some good glue. Took about 20 minutes of my time. I rode around for several days testing it at different heights before I installed it. A good upholstery shop will cut the pad with the right angles on it and explain how to install it.

Yeah those Taco seats suck. I've driven a 2001 Taco for a while and my 93 SR5 truck seats are much better with more adjustment. Quality definitely went down with the Taco body, frame and interior. If you can find a decent mid 90s SR5 seat they are great.

For a cheap and great upgrade:
Try taking two pieces of plywood and straping one to your back and one to your butt. It will be way more comfortable than those seats.
Har har. I hated my taco seats.
Try getting some 4runner seats. Mine is an 01 and they are a WORLD different. They would be cheap at a junk yard and then you could just cover them in wet okoles??

my 96 4 runner seats seemed to be more comfortable than my 01 tacos. I thought that the height on the 4 runner was better. They were lower than the taco. Try the lumbar support before anything. I had one in my 86 truck w/ the bench seats and the metal springs didn't bother me anymore.

I use to have a 01 taco, I just picked up 97 4runner, I think the 4runner is more plush and one plus with the 4runner is that it has lumbar support where as the taco didn't have it. it is quite comfortable with adjustable lumbar support. Otherwise, I would definitely consider aftermarket.
