Betcha haven't broken this....

The fan bracket for the 3.0. If you have replaced the timing belt/wp/hg on the 3vze you know what I mean. The bearings gave out and let the fan smack the rad. Can you replace/machine new bushings, is there a rebuild kit or do you buy a whole new unit. I will try to post a pic when I can.

Thanks for the help.

I just tried to take some pics but for some reason I can't download them to my comp. I will try to describe the part better. I need info on the fan carrier. This is the cast aluminum piece that holds the fan onto the engine via the fan shaft. It also holds the center pulleys in place that are on the shaft. If you are looking at the front of the engine these are the pulleys where the p/s and alt belts meet. It is not the water pump which I initially thought it was. It is described as the fan pulley bracket by chiltons in step 11 timing belt install.
Thanks again for any info. I have never seen anyone complain of this and any info or leads on parts would be great. If nobody has any info I'm off to the junk yard tomorrow.

Yeah I just saw it. While I was taking pics I got signed off. Dial Up . Net zero sucks.

Thanks I found a couple websites that sell them for 140.00 I might go that route. Nothing on ebay.

Thanks for understanding. What an annoying, poorly designed setup. It looks like they tried to use as many moving parts as possible. Mine let go in parking lot so there wasn't too much other damage, I guess that's a bright side.

no problem, if your not in a extreme hurry, I would probally order one of ebay as there new aftermarket part, as to used from a junkyard, and as i said earlier the junkyard knew when i called what the stealerships charge for the part, but if its your only ride the junk yard one should be ok I've had no problems out of mine
