Hey guys, hopefully you can help me real quick. I already searched this topic and know the great things you have to say about the griots and zainos products but I'm in a bit of a hurry and can't wait for the stuff to come. So I'm just wondering if you guys knew what the best wax you can get an auto parts store is? I'm thinking meguiars because I've used some of their products before and they were pretty good. Does anyone know if gold class is better or is mirror glaze #whatever is better? Also any other suggestions of any other brands? I need to do this tomorrow because I'm gonna be goin on a trip saturday and want a good coat of wax on the runner before I leave. Thanks

I currently use Mother's out of a can... kinda tough to buff out when it's dry though.

I think the stuff in the bottle tends to clean up faster. I used Nufinish 2001 or something like that on my sister's car and that cleaned up real easily.

It depends on how much effort you want to put into it. The Mothers 3 step package works great! All liquid, cleaner, polish and wax. I used this many times and it does a nice job. The cleaner takes the most effort, then the next two steps are wipe on and off.

I'm now a Zaino convert!

For those of us who like to spend more time doing mods and repair to our trucks than washing them here is a wonderful product, NO-WET. We got a guy in the dealership a month ago trying to pitch this stuff and we were like, "yeah yeah." It boasts no hose needed and that is exactly what it does. All it takes is two cloth rags and the spray bottle. We get a lot of "Pep Boys" stuff here that just sits on the shelf, but not this stuff. The greatest thing about this stuff for me is that it washes windows, chrome, and plastic with no problem. I have a black 97 Runner and I hate washing then waxing and then cleaning the windows after that. Granted if you go mudding and then bring the truck back you will still need to hose it down but after that it is the best wax for regular and oxidized vehicles we have seen in quite some time. P.S. For those of you that may have chromed out bikes, atvs, or boats this is a lifve saver. Try it out and you will see why!

Currently using Zymol. Ragu isn't bad either. Oh yea Zymol smells good too.

I've always liked 3M products. There pricey but always worked real well to me. If I have a hard time finding 3M, I go with Nu Finish. That stuff stays on like Iron. Which is one of the reasons I like it. I hate waxing vehicles

Thanks for all the input guys. I was going to go for the zymol but couldnt find it so I went with the gold class. Took a bit longer and a bit more effort than usual but was well worth it. The rig went from grainy to silky smooth. Maybe I'll go for the whole clayin process and pick up some zainos/griots stuff you guys all rave about when I get back. Thanks again.

zymol was the last wax I used before purchasing Zaino and i wont ever look for another wax. If you call zaino you might have a local dealer. I drive 20 minutes to this guy that sells it out of his house (well keeps it there most of his business comes from going to car shows)
