LOTS of 411 on batteries on the forum. A specific search for "3rd gen batteries" or "Optimas" might give you a start.

Get an Odyssey. My Blue top was on its way out when my 3VZE took a dump. I'll be getting an Odyssey.

Optima yellow top

I had a Diehard battery that wasn't holding up with my system so I switched over to the Optima Yellow Top D34M Deep Cycle/Starting battery and so far its pretty good...Seems like the old battery was really going because now my voltage guage reads out around 14.2 compared to my old at 13.1 at idle....I could post pics of it later....

I've always liked Optima's. Seem to run forever, and have good power when you need it.

Good idea to use a deep cycle/starting battery if you often tend to run your accessories with the engine off (especially anything with a hefty power demand), but a waste of money if you don't.
