Auto-Rear Window Mod for Tacoma?
Anyone ever seen a Tacoma with the rear window moded to go up and down like automatic windows?
I actually saw a new Tundra drive by me with the rear window down on it. It was a 4-door brand new no plates. i htink someone was taking it for a test drive since I live right next to Toyota Carlsbad.

Are you talking about the rear windows in the cab? or the really large back window?
Ya, Toyota is now producing 4-door Tundras, and I'm sure the rear passenger windows have the capability of going down.

Someone posted pics of that a while back. Its a feature of the new crew cab Tundra. Haven't heard anything about it going into the Tacoma but since 4Runners have had that since day one its about time other trucks in the Toyota line get it too.

I have that stupid "Toyota Carlsbad" chorus stuck in my head now
Grrrr!
Funny, I was just thinking about that the other day while I was playing with my dad's 4Runner rear window.
Is it possible? I'm interested too. Not because I'd like to do it (seems like it'd get pricey) but just to see if it's been done and the mechanics of it.

Performance Products some years ago had a pwr rr wndw kit for the last gen pick-ups ('89-94) but discontinued them. Rumor was it had an inferior motor and there were seal issues. I don't see how it can be done w/ the current Tacomas as like a rr hatch door or a door system, you need a cavity and guides for a proper fit and seal.
