ATTN: UK Myers ISR mod Question

Hi Uk,
I was just going to PM u but this might be of interest to others.BigBadBlue may want to chime in as well.

I am thinking of doing the ISR mod,& have read up some old post's,& see that all of them have used a hole new peice of pipe from the airbox to the TB.Is this because of the Master cylinder get's in the way?
My rig is right hand drive so i have more room than you guys,& i was wondering if it would be easier for me to just put a small elbow pipe in where the black box silencer that joins the two rubber pipes.this would mean that i dont need to mess around with the two emissions hose's ,which im not to keen on having to deal with.
I wouldnt need any other bits apart from the new elbow as i should be able to use the same clamps etc.
What do you think?

Maddog the reason I ditched the whole thing is because of the way that they were routed. They both head downwards because that box is quite a ways below the airbox and TB. You could probably jimmy something to work but it wouldn't be as effective as making a straight shot from the airbox to the Throttle body. Also there is a second box that comes out that is bolted on the side of the airbox. That's where the second smaller tube comes from. Some models are different so that might not apply to you. Them tubes are just vacuum hoses and as long as you get them so they don't leak you'll be okay re routing them. I wouldn't be concerned as much with the master cylinder as I would be with the dipstick. I can barely get mine in and out because of the new tube running right over it. Good luck on this mod. It's worth it for sure.

I've been thinking about doing this for a while and was wondering what kind of performance to expect from it. Is it pretty noticeable? Thanks.

It's noticeable but nothing to do handstands about. You'll notice though. Also be prepared for a pretty significant increase in intake noise. Mine is pretty noisy with the airbox mods and the ISR. I like it though!

Any noticeable difference in power (well positive difference anyways) is a good enough reason for me And the intake noise is a plus too. Makes you feel tough

How much did it cost all together?

WSU I have about 5 bucks into the rubber grommets that went into the tube for the vacuum lines. My dad built the thing for me. Oh ya I have a couple dollars into the green stripe hose I used to connect it too
