I'm not much the contributing type here on the forum but I have been reading posts about the need to reinforce the frame ends for winching when installing on a ARB Winch Bumper because of the frame ends possibly bending and/or cracking. And considering I just recently order an ARB Winch Bumper for my 2k 4Runner I decided to find out if ARB had created a solution.
So I e-mailed ARB for an update on this issue, and here is what I got. Hope this is helpful to someone.

Hello John,
There have been no changes to the design of the Toyota Tacoma/4Runner
bumper. We have looked into changing the bracket that attaches our
bumper to the frame, but at this time we would recommend reinforcing the front
frame horns.

4Runner. I have seen many posts on forums that there is a reinforcement
modification that needs to be made to the end of the frame for winching
because the factory ends tend to warp and crack. Has this issue
been address with the bumpers being released now?
