Anyone running the '99 lift setup (system 3.0)?

The suspension is completely shot in my '00 highlander. I have little interest in 3 or more inches of lift, nor do I want the crazy rake that some of the other lifts come with. So instead of going with stock stuff I'm thinking the mild 99 lift is for me.
Is anyone here running this setup and have opinions they'd like to share. Searching turned up little. I looked for pictures, but the only one I've found is the one on Steve's website.
thanks- James

I've got the '99 coils and Bilsteins sitting in the garage waiting to go on. Like you, I did not want to go higher than 2" of lift and have to worry about cv angles, and extending brake lines. Spend most of the time on the road anyway, and a large lift isn't necessary.

For 2000-2002, I think this is a very moderate lift, that doesn't require any extra parts to make it workable. I've done lots of searching, and haven't found any before and after pictures of this setup either.

Where did you buy your setup from?

Just a heads up for the 99 "stock coils"... I had a bit of a reverse rake with this set up. It was noticeable. I was told this was somewhat normal, but I hated it.

In the end I wound up with 99 coils up front and OME 906s out back. This is a much better set up for me.

I had that on my setup on my 96 4runner. It really doesn't raise e vehicle but you can put a slighty larger tire on it without a problem (265/75/16)

Found the coils on the site, and purchased the shocks off ebay for 274 shipped.

As for the reverse rake, were the coils new or used? If the coils were used, they might have had the normal sag that most 4 runners have. Not every set of 99 coils were the tall coils.

Probably looking at 1 - 1.5" of lift.

I have the taller '99 coils with larger 265/70-17 tires.
Rides nice, no visible sag (mine are 10 years old), and I've had people ask if it's lifted.
You'd be happy with the system 3.0

yep, 1-1.5" is right.

sorry but this is the only one I have...

I'll get a better pic of it on flat ground later. I do have few old pictures in my sig link with the same '99 coils but still had running boards and puny "stock sized" 265/65-17's.

I'll have my coils for sale soon if anyone's interested...i'm just upgrading to 285's so they gotta go.

Looks good. Perfect amount of lift I think, especially for those whose rigs don't see a lot of offroad time.

Thanks for posting up!
