Anyone ever run TRD IS wheels without a lift?

Yes you can add them without a lift. They are 16x8 in size - so anotherwords, only 1 inch wider than your current oem wheels (not taller). What made you think a lift was necessary to run them?
And no, they are not hard to balance. I've got static weights on mine and have had zero issues with them.
Check out my profile in my sig for more pictures of my IS wheels on my '02 Sport. Granted I've got a lift on my 4Runner, but it was not to just fit these wheels. I could have run them w/o a lift.

Thanks Rock. So, since they are 1" longer then I cant swap the current tires that I have, can I? I just bought tires less than a year ago.
I saw your profile the other day and that is what made me want the wheels. I love your red calipers too. I wonder what the factory ones would look like painted? I just bought some Bremos and Hawk pads so I may try to paint mine too while I have it apart.

Yes, you can run them in combo with your current tires. (You'll notice I'm running a 265/75 size tire. It's the same size as a stock 265/70 tire, just taller.)
Trust me, these wheels will look great mounted on your 4Runner too. The extra 1 inch of wheel width fills out the fenders nicely. Your 4Runner will not have that "sucked in" look like some of us like to refer to it as

That's not a bad price on those. I'd like to know if they are the original released set of wheels or the recently re-released set. Reason being, the original run of these tires some years back, had clear coat issues. They discontinued them for about 5yrs or so. Just recently (around Aug '07), TRD re-released them saying they had solved the clear coat issue. They also created them in such away that they can now be mounted on vehicles with tire pressure sensors.
As far as buying them new, pm member TACOZILLA (Shannon) of Toyota of Dallas. He'll give you a YT discount. These wheels list new for $250 each I believe, but he only charged me $192 each.

would you chose these rims even over something like some black pro comp rims rock? i kinda wanna buy them since they are TRD, but I'm not sure i wanna pay that much for them. They should come out with a 17x8 size as well.

Sloan, TRD does make a set of TRD wheels in an 18 inch. Designed in part for the 4th gen 4Runners and others. Check out member Crozhawk on T4R.org for some more pics of his 4Runner.

Yea. I like those 18's. The aluminum look has always looked better to me. The chrome rims remind me of my 1995 Ford Explorer. PUKE! I hated that thing. I have always wanted a new vehicle after a few years of driving it and looking at it. I bought my 4Runner new in 02 and still love it. I find myself staring at it sometimes through the window of my house. LOL! I do want some new OEM Rims for it now though. Later, Im gonna go take a look at my ride.

those 18 do look nice, they would probably look to big on mine though...
Ivan's are starting to get on the top of my list.
I also have a similar problem, whenever my girlfriend comes over to my house, i'll often hop on the computer real quick and check on here and my other 'yota forum for any new info or posts out
