Anyone with 17" OEM rims on a 3rd gen ?

Anyone running 17" Toyota rims from a 4th gen 4runner or Sequoia on a 3rd gen ?

Seems a 265/70/17 or even a 75 would be a nice set up with a lift.

Anyone doing this ?

Thanks

David

I've seen a few including Kevin444 and Fuzion that run close to stock tires or Hoju that runs 35's on the Sequoia wheels. Kyle T has the 17" 4th gen wheels w/ close to stock size tires as well.

265/70/17's run out at 31.7 while 275/70/17's run 32.4
However, about the only option in the 275/70/17 us a Radial Rover RXVT as the only other two made are Wranglers.

That may well be a hot set up. The only risk would be width issues.

Sgirt has 17" Sequoia wheels with 285/70/17 MT's.

Not the best pic, but all his pics are down.

Seems he had to shave his a-arms to run the 285/70/17's even with a lift as the side of the tire rubbed at full droop.

Ido run OEM wheels, Lexus GX470 ones though, same dimensions as the 4th gen 4runner 17's. I also use a 1.5" bolt on wheel spacer.

i have a set of stock upper a-arms with good balljoints. That way you can wait to install the shaved arms and won't have your truck torn apart.

I don't like wheel spacers either.
Also, 17" tires are more expensive than 16"

Ditto, very nice looking truck.....I almost got a set of those sequoia rims too, but the tire selection gets alot more limited (and expensive) when you move away from the 16" rims so I opted for the sport rims instead.
