Amsoil Oil Filter for 3.4 Question

I was getting my numbers together for my order and noticed that the oil filter number for my yota is the same as my saturn work car, I thought this was strange, anyone run into problems with any part numbers while ordering from Amsoil?

I use the SDF 34 in my truck. A little snug getting in there but the additional filter area can't hurt.

Best guess is the SDF 34 is 20 - 30% larger. Gadget is the one that figured this out.

So the 34 is larger and a tight fit but fits. Thats not a bad idea then I mean more filtration area never hurts.

Yep, I figured it out, the SDF-34 works just fine. It is exactly the same filter as the SDF-57 except slightly longer. Same threads, same pressure bypass valve and everything else, just more filter area so there will be less restriction to flow, and it will hold more crude before flow it restricted.

The oil filter on my son's '96 Saturn SC2 is the same one I use on my '00 3.4L.

Yep, and if you want to order one or some oil, or sign yourself up as a dealer or a preferred customer or what ever, click here:

www.GadgetOnline.com/AMSOIL.htm

Be sure to download and read the Motor Oil Bible.

What about Napa Gold filters? Would the same situation apply?

OK, change the filter on my tacoma, forgot to get this picture with the new filter, but this shows the difference between the SDF 57 and SDF 34 Filters
