Sorry about being late, but I got mine at www.mralternator.com. It is normal Nippondenso case like my OEM, but 140amp.

Standard toyota case with 190 amper output. I LOVE mine. They now have a 200ampre unit that is a direct bolt up unit.

Doesnt hurt to shop around I suppose?
Will I have to make any other mods going to a 190 or higher amp unit?
I understand how they work but am not familiar with the computer goodies in the newer vehicles and Id really hate to burn something up that will cost even more $$$.
Thanks for the help guys!!

The big three is basically upgrading your battery's ground to chassis, block, and frame, and finally running a larger charging wire to the battery.
I have used nothing but 1/0ga.

mine does have a slider upper bracket on their that has a half moon shaped adjustment while the lower bolt is a fixed pivot point..... also i think maybe its possible for the 22r alternator to be interchangeable with the 22re? or no?

hey AzStorm,
I have an 89 22RE and i just bought and new alternator but i didn't really feel like spending $400 for a 140 amp so i just found out the the automatic alty's are 90 amps and the bolt right up and they are the same price, its alot better than the stop 60 amp, but i would way rather have a 140 or bigger if i had the money
cody
