my sunroof made a loud pop noise when i went to tilt it closed, then it would not close all of the way, i had to press down on it, it was catching on the seal, i then had to roll it back and then close again so the seal would seat not sticking out towards the top. it seems that it jumped a cog and moved about 1/8 to 1/4 inch back, as there is a little gap at the front now that I can feel, looks like it will let water in as well, the seal is not touching the frame. is there a way to move it back foreward? and how is this done? I searched and came up with nothing for 3rd gens. it is a 1996 Limited 4Runner if it matters. does not make any grinding noises and nothing was in the tracks that i could see.

does the switch still open it?
maybe try to fully open it, to 'pop' it back in.
i dont know of anyway to adjust it.
