Adjusting the mass airflow sensor

.........I just put in a new engine and an FIPK(88 22RE) and was planning to richen the airlow sensor a bit according to the LC Engineering website, but according to the local mechanic that did the gas analyzer test for my warranty card, the thing is all ready running rich???? Any ideas what I should do, seems to run good and gets far better mileage than it used to?? Thanks for your time...............TIM

Leave it be. All you will do is waste fuel.

If you are looking for more torque, change your cam out. Install larger injectors MAYBE.....

Check and adjust the TPS, clean the o2 sensor, make sure timing and all that is set up right first. Running rich isn't a good thing.
If you are in a smog controlled area, don't touch the MAF. My understanding, and I could be wrong, is that a tampered with seal on a the MAF is a guaranteed way to flunk emissions testing.
