Actual lift height for 2.5" ome
I bought a 2.5" lift. Ome 891s rear and ome and 881s in the front with KYB gas adjust shocks. I also got a 1"drop spacer and some stainless steel brakelines.Ok , will I get a full 2.5" out of the front and rear? I also ordered the panhard bracket and some top out spacers from steve s. Will my 4runner be level or what? I was going to go without the spacers up front but someone told me I needed to. Should i run the spacers? I just want my runner to be level when done. Any suggestions? Thanks Miles

Results vary, but when I did this lift I got 2" up front and 3.5 in the rear. Its slightly raked, but, nothing all that bad. Id personally run the top-out spacer on top though.

I hope you didn't get 880's for up front or the rake will be horrendous. Even with 881's up front and 891's in the rear, you'll need alot of spacers to make the truck approach level. The amount of lift you'll get totally depends on the starting ride height of the truck which in turn depends on the year of the truck. On a 1997 4runner and assuming you don't have any heavy bumpers or carry any heavy tools around in the cargo area, you should see almost a full 3" in the rear from those 891's....I had 890's on mine and got a full 2.5" lift out of those.

yeah with 890's i got 4" higher after the sagging.
Miles... OME891's are for HD rigs. are you going to be towing or hauling a lot of load. i think its rated for a constant 250-300 lb load. maybe you should think about 890's or 906's if you're WORRIED ABOUT BEING LEVEL. if not there are many spacer options from full packing spacers to lesser top plate spacers to trim packing spacers to level out you're 4runner.

I will have to check in the morning...........
But I know the rears were 891s but I ll have to check on the fronts. I just want the vehicle to be level. I want no rake at all. I ordered front top out spacers and longer studs so that I won't have any rake but we will see. What is the ideal spring and shock setup?

hmm
I will not be towing or hauling anything around. I wont even have any front or rear bumpers(aftermarket) Just wanted to get a good suspension that would get me good flex and enough clearance for bigger tires. I hope it doesnt sit 4" high in the back!

There are a few setups that will get you within 1/2" of level. Keep in mind you don't want it to sit truely level with no one in it because once you start loading it, the rear end will begin to look like it's sagging.
Here's what I'd recommend (front/back):
OME 881 / OME 906
Tundra coils / OME 890
Coilover such as SAW, Downey, King / OME 891 (this setup will be very stiff sitting level)

I never measured my rig before and after the lift to see how much I really got...but when I first put my 890's in the rear I had the front cranked all the way up, and I was still higher in the rear. After a couple weeks and adding 50-100lbs of gear it sits maybe 1/4-1/2" high in the rear with just me, and perfectly level with any passengers in the rear. I'd say I ended up with somewhere between 2.5-3".

I went to the shop and looked at the tags! The fronts are ome 881s and the rears are ome 890s. So now that I have the specs who has these coils and what did they do for you? I hope to get it together this week! We will see how thing go

As stated above:
881 got me 3" in the front
890 got me 5" in the back.
I had major sag in my stock springs. I am very happy with the ride. The first 2 weeks were a bit harsh, however the ride seems to have smoothed. You will love the OME setup.

I had that exact combo on before I switched my 890's for 906's (due to the excessive rake). If you want pics of what it looks like, click on my sig. You're going to have about 1.25"+ of rake front to back with no spacers up front with those on your 97 4runner.
