Question 99 shifting pattern

hey... i have had my 99 runner for about 5 mounths and love it. I was wondering if anyone notices a somewhat hard shift when it goes into 2nd gear.

It is normal from what I understand. It is worse when it is cold and gets easier as the trans warms up.

My 2K is that way. Shifting into any other gear is pretty smooth, but 2nd is notchy. Changing to synthetic transmission lube helped especially when it's cold but it's still not perfect...

Iv'e noticed it a few times,thinking that it wasen't right...goin' on 100K -no tranny probs yet. I change the fluid every 15K

I had the same problem with my Talon Tsi. I tried sythetic but it did not help. I would just shift from 1st to 3rd when the car was cold. After it warmed up--no problem.
