Question '99 4Runner Radiator blockage

Just incase, the title was sarcasim.
My Rad recently pooched forcing coolent through the trani. My uncle a transmission specialist ( and a previous toyota lover ) said when this happens the coolent attacks all the various seals and valves and clutching(?). So after all this I've recived info from many of different places and people that after that and a new rad and flushing all around that i may get a month to six years outta the trani. This for me is to broad of a time line so I'am looking into another transmission. If i get this right my 99' 4runner has a A340F tranni and that they used the same trani from 1995-2003 in the 4runner 4x4's. mine is the v6. I also got reading about that they also used the same trani model in 00-04 tundra 4x4 and 85-88 4-pickup 4x4's.
If anyone can give me some clarity that would be duckie.

I did previously post this in the Newbie Forum also. I'm in need of this help please.

this is the dreaded strawberry milkshake condition. Sorry to hear it happened to you.

Yes- in time you probably will need a new auto transmission. Page back just a few pages in this sub forum section to see many threads about it.

For future consideration either use an external tranny cooler or change the radiator out roughly every 8 years or so.

I was woundering if i could get away with pretty much any of the A340F transmissions with little difficulty. Even my uncle and the Trani shop he used to work at are saying i might as well find a used one cause for the cost of a rebuild comparitivly to the cost of used is foolish. They said the odds of this are like 1 in a 1000.
So every 8 years on the rad eh! well i now have 7 years 360 days left on this one. LOL

With the trani cooler do i need to seperate the trani from the rad and have this as a stand alone unit or can i hook it into the rest of the system of the cooling lines for the trani?
