99 4Runner 4WD Question

my 4wd light in my gauges flashes when the 4wd is off and when i turn it on and turn it back off it stops for about 10 secs and then blinks again. what does this mean?
i had to get my frame replaced because it was bent and it caused my rack and pinion to snap so they took my car apart and that is when it started.

Someone will chime in with more experience than me, but that happened to me in my old Ranger once - It turned out that the automatic mechanism in the t-case wasn't able to lock into 4wd when I turned the switch - I jarred it around pretty bad up in the Uintas. Mine flashed for a day, then stopped the next day. If things aren't lined up properly, maybe you're jammed up somewhere between the 4wd switch and the hubs - just a thought. This is why a manual t-case better, instead of a switch!

Maybe the actuator or the diaphragm was damaged. or maybe one of the vacuum hoses has a hole.
