98 4runner fuel leak

I purchased a 98 4runner limited v6 last year. Previous owner put TRD supercharger on it with an upgraded fuel system, cold air induction and trd catback exhaust. Over the last few months, I have had a ridiculous fuel issue. While trying to change out the fuel pump, I kinked the plastic line that I believe is the supply line. While trying to replace that line, I mangled up the connection to the line and had to buy a new sending unit. The unit I purchased was bare with no pump nor guage unit on it. Transferred high pressured pump and float guage assembly to new bracket. 4runner also had vacuum leak that my mechanic found and fixed. Now the truck runs fine, but if left parked all day and in the sun, around the hot part of the day (3-5pm) fuel leaks from frame by front left wheel. If I loosen the gas cap, leak stops. Seems to have a lot of pressure built up. Have been unloosening gas cap in the mornings while still cool and not having any fuel leak. Anyone come across this problem before? Only thing I can think might be wrong is the vent tube on new sending unit is not open. Seems that the fuel tank is filling up with pressure and then leaking out where it can.

2 days and no response?

I am by no means providing a definite solution, but this article might help:

Seems an issue with the charcoal canister or the evap system could result in fuel leaking out as it expands on a hot day.

I'm shocked your the only one to reply to my post. I tracked down where the leak is coming from and it's coming from the charcoal box. My question is why? It never did this before I put the new sending unit in. And how do I fix the issue? Sea like every time u put a new part on, another problem arises.

I'm no expert on these engines (yet, used to 3VZE's) but have you ever topped off your fuel tank? Because of the charcoal canister's location, it would make sense if fuel flowed down and ruined the canister. But like I said, I'm no expert on this so don't just go out and buy a new one!

I found the issue why the fuel is going into the charcoal canister. Had the return line and evaporator line crossed. Even though I thought I had tripled checked those lines, apparent,y me being in too much of a hurry to finish up cost the problem as well as replacing charcoal canister. Fortunately I found a used one for $20.
