98 4Runner with 2001 mods on Ebay???
Anybody seen this. Looks damn good! I didn't know that you could put 2001 grille and stuff on a 98. What do you think of the price?

its really not a big deal what he did. members here have been replacing the front bumpers (not so much the rear), hoods, wheels, etc from a newer 4runner into an older one.

Yep,like Bob said '99+ upgrades are sort of common among the 4Runner enthusiast crowd and that is a nice conversion and it doesn't even look bad with those 18" wheels and the reserve price has already been met and the bidding is at $11600 but that'll go up a bit since that truck has only 46k on it.

Kinda funny when he says replaced the "plugs, cap, rotor, wires, air filter, gas filter"
Funny......wonder which version of the 3.4L he has in there?
...and plastic headlights? Mine are glass and they are on a 96!
I think the most valuable mod he did was the turbo hood....added at least $1500 to the final sale with that alone.
In the rust belt, low miles are quite as good as say an AZ truck with that kind of mileage.
I mean mine has 140k and it will propbably rust out before I kill the mechanicals on it.

Sweet deal, I would love to do the front end mod but don't want to get into too much fabrications. I am planning on doing the '02 Headlamp retrofit for the mirror backings. It's actually kind of cheap for the reserved price but as X was saying it will go up in price.

I bet you if you run a carfax on this truck it was hit in the front. I bought my runner with a light deer hit in the front and it was cheaper to put the updated parts on it than 98 parts. Customizing shop, doubt that, it's probably a body shop!
