97 tacoma exhaust leak :(

I have a 97' tacoma and I have a slight exhaust leak. I have spoke with other taco owners and all seem to have the same problem I have from the 2.7. Before I go tearing into the engine does anyone have any suggections, Secondly, without major moding istherre any easier way to swap in a 302 bowtie but still have a daily driver?

An exhaust leak is a very easy thing to fix, assuming that's what it is. You don't have to tear into the engine really.

As for swapping in to a 302, it ain't gonna be easy.

I'm with Brian, exhaust leaks are pretty eas, especially relative to the 302 swap. Any idea of a more precise location of exhaust leak? at the manifold, or in a joint somewhere? Let us know.

It seems to be between the manifold and the block. as ot the 302 that is what i figured.

Check out a Hayne's manual or Factory Service manual for your truck to see what will be involved, but I can guarantee it will be WAY easier than swapping in any kind of engine.
